Together, we deliver life-changing expertise, strengthen humanitarian coordination, and support communities facing disasters and instability.
Supporting communities in need through the FCDO's HEROS Programme
Since 2017, RedR Australia has deployed humanitarian professionals in to UN agencies across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Pacific through the FCDO's Humanitarian Emergency Response Operations and Stabilisation (HEROS) Programme.
Through the HEROS programme, we have deployed experts with skillsets spanning a range of expertise, including protection, shelter, coordination and information management, to support communities in need. Our roster members integrate cross-cutting themes of gender equality, disability inclusion, localisation, and climate change adaptation into their deployment work.
A foundation of strong partnerships to support effective and rapid deployments
As the largest UN Standby Partner (SBP) in the Asia–Pacific and southern hemisphere, RedR Australia has formal agreements with 16 UN agencies, including all UN partners that FCDO supports under the HEROS program.
