RedR Australia’s Protection course is part of our Essential Frameworks series, designed to provide professionals with an in-depth understanding of the protection principles and frameworks that are fundamental to safe and effective humanitarian response during conflicts, disasters, and development programming.

This one-day course combines expert-led presentations, interactive activities, simulations, discussions and real-world case studies to deepen your understanding of protection and its application across all humanitarian and development sectors. Throughout the course, you will not only gain theoretical knowledge but also have the opportunity to apply protection principles in practical, scenario-based exercises that mirror the challenges faced in the field.

Who is this course for?

The Protection course is designed for international development, humanitarian or disaster response practitioners, advocates and diplomats. Whether you're a humanitarian coordinator, shelter officer, inclusion advisor, case worker, or working in any other sector, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to integrate protection effectively into your practice.

The course is in English and you need to have a reasonable proficiency of the English language.

Full rate: AUD $650.00

Inclusions: Tuition, training materials, lunch, morning and afternoon tea. Please note, accommodation and travel is NOT included.

Course fees are in Australian dollars and can be paid in full via credit card through our secure payment facility. Organisations are able to request to receive an invoice.

Essential Course Information

This is a one-day, intensive, classroom based course. 

Course Timing

The course will run 8.30am - 5.30pm. To receive your course certificate you must complete the entire course.

Travel and Accommodation

Please arrange your own travel to and from our training venues. Accommodation is NOT included in the course fee.
