The office was opened to provide ongoing support to those who are deployed through RedR Australia into the Middle East and North Africa, and to the UN agencies with whom RedR Australia partners.
Our CEO Kirsten Sayers was joined by Australian Ambassador Miles Armitage, who provided the keynote speech at the event, to formally open the office in the presence of RedR Australia deployees, local and global partners, and representatives from governmental partners DFAT and DFID.
Regional Manager of the new MENA office, Mel Schmidt, also spoke to the room and welcomed the ongoing regional partnerships that support RedR Australia deployees and their work in humanitarian response.
