Whether it’s negotiating your relief items onto a military plane for distribution, or with a local village chief to ensure women from disaster-affected communities get their voices heard, working in the humanitarian sector involves a never ending series of negotiations.
All aid workers need to be effective negotiators, which is why RedR Australia is proud to introduce the Negotiation for Humanitarian Responders (NHR) training course.
NHR provides participants with the skills to advocate for the most vulnerable, mobilise support, and influence the powerful. It also aims to support the humanitarian sector’s efforts to apply a deeper level of analytical and strategic thinking to humanitarian negotiations.
NHR is ideal for senior humanitarian workers and government officials responding to humanitarian crises. Participants will hear directly from experienced aid workers who have extensive field experience working with international NGOs and UN agencies.
The course is a three-day program and will run on August 9 – August 12. Register for NHR now at www.redr.org.au/training-courses/our-courses.
