End of year message from the CEO

No matter where you are located around the world, 2020 is likely to have made a mark.

Facing one of the biggest health crises we have ever known, Covid-19 has tested us in ways we could have never imagined.

At RedR Australia, we have risen to the challenge and adapted our operations to ensure we could deliver humanitarian assistance when and where it is needed.

2020 has taught us that we must increase our efforts to support nations around the globe to prepare for disasters and crises, particularly as we face more humanitarian need as a result of the changing climate. This preparedness work will enable countries to respond locally with a reduced need for international assistance.

The global socio-economic vulnerabilities that exist in our societies have been exacerbated by Covid-19. We remain committed to keeping the needs of women and girls, persons with a disability and vulnerable communities at the forefront of our work to ensure we are building more resilient and prosperous communities.

This year, our people have been our driving force – whether employees, deployees, roster members, associate trainers or volunteers – each has played an important role to keep things moving despite the tough circumstances. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their hard work and support, and wish you all a safe and happy holiday season.
